5507- Retractable Utility Knife

To cut acrylic table tops, you don’t need a power saw or any other heavy-duty electrical equipment. All you need is a retractable utility knife and the following steps:

1. Mark the area of the sheet you want to cut.

2. Use the utility knife to score a narrow groove in the sheet.

3. Place the sheet over a hard edge with the groove side up.

4. Clamp if needed.

5. Quickly and evenly bend the overhang side of the sheet until the groove deepens and propagates throughout the entire sheet, resulting in two cleanly separated pieces of polycarbonate.
