5R00M is an industrial-grade bi-metal hole saw engineered with an 8% Cobalt High-Speed Steel (HSS-Co 8%) cutting edge for high-temperature resistance and extended tool life in tough alloys. Featuring a 4/6T variable pitch tooth profile with a positive rake angle, it reduces cutting resonance and chatter while ejecting metal chips rapidly.

- 8% Cobalt (HSS-Co 8%) Cutting Edge: Premium cobalt-alloyed high-speed steel maintains tooth hardness at elevated temperatures, resisting premature edge burn and dulling when drilling abrasive 304 and 316 stainless steels.
- 4/6T Variable Pitch Rake Teeth: Combines alternating tooth spacing and positive rake geometry to minimize harmonic vibration, reduce feed force, and prevent tooth snagging in sheet metals.
- Electron-Beam Welded Bi-Metal Body: Tough spring-steel backing absorbs rotational shock and torsional strain, while the hardened HSS-Co tooth edge delivers exceptional wear resistance without body cracking.
- Extended 38 mm (1-1/2″) Cutting Depth: Provides the necessary clearance to cut through thick-wall steel pipes, multi-layer sheet assemblies, and dimensional wood in a single pass.
- Reinforced Heavy-Gauge Backing Plate: Thick, flat base plate eliminates arbor wobble and runout distortion under high machine downforce.
